Sub-Committees
The seven sub-committees of SBCDA are comprised of
volunteers picked by the board. These volunteers help the
executive committee complete task to reach the goal of the
strategic plan.
Industry/Retail Committee - promotes business
growth in Sylvania by recruiting industry and retail businesses
while maintaining relationships with current businesses. Also,
develops communication channels between the association, legislative
and regulatory agencies on the local, state and national level.
This
committee is comprised of five members:

1-Town Employee or Town Council Member

1-Citizen of Sylvania
Marketing
Committee - promotes the Town of Sylvania by
providing information to SBCDA members on future market, business
and technology trends and opportunities that affect the growth
of the community. Also, provides round-table discussions for
business owners with 20 or fewer employees.
This
committee is comprised of three members:

Benevolent
Committee - provide financial needs to citizens
of the Town of Sylvania.
This
committee is comprised of five members:
1-Board Member
1-Town Employee or Town Council Member
1-Business Member or Citizen of Sylvania

Beautification/Historic
Committee - establish and enhance the beauty
and protect the environment of the Town of Sylvania. Also,
create and maintain the history of the town.
This
committee is comprised of three members:

Social
Committee - coordinate events, meetings and
activities for the association
This
committee is comprised of five members:

Financial
Committee - review the operation budget of SBCDA
and advise the board on matters concerning the financial position
of the association.
This
committee is comprised of three members:

Nominating
Committee - oversees the trustee nomination
and recommends candidates to the board.
This
committee is comprised of three members:
